Week-long mentoring on Git, GitHub and community topics for Hackademy 🚩
Workshops
Hey there, I’m the guy behind the “BGM” pseudonym. I see you’ve found my about me page, so I guess this is where I tell you a bit more about myself!
I’m the kind of developer who actually reads the manuals, one who likes to get a complete understanding of the tools he’s using, and also the kind that truly enjoys the stuff he does. I pick my tools wisely, and I stick to them for as long as possible! There are no better frameworks or applications than the ones you don’t have to replace (at least not often haha).
I’ve been working on software development projects for around 7 years now. At first, they were all small side projects, but they continuously grew in complexity as I got more familiar with the the tools I was using, the people and communities I was working with, and the field as a whole.
In 2020, I found out about Re-Volt: OpenGL, or RVGL for short, a modern rewrite of the original Re-Volt released in 1999, the popular RC cars racing game.
In early 2022 I joined its core development team. I currently work on the multiplayer aspect of the game, delivering constant updates to the online scene, and fixing various issues reported by its community on the forums!
