About Sabin

👋 Sabin Thapa is a GitHub Campus Expert and a full-stack software engineer passionate about building impactful software and empowering developer communities. He has been an active leader and mentor in Nepal’s tech ecosystem, organizing and supporting major events like GitHub Field Day Malaysia, Software Freedom Day 2024, Watson Code Fest 2024, Code Yatra 2025, and various Git/GitHub workshops.

He has:

  • Mentored and supported hackathons such as Vertex Hacks, DeerHack, and MBM IdeaX, inspiring students to dive into open-source contributions.

  • Led hands-on sessions and workshops on Git, GitHub, and modern developer practices.

  • Helped strengthen developer communities by connecting local students with global programs like GitHub Education and Campus Experts.

Currently, Sabin focuses on full-stack JavaScript/TypeScript development, working with React, Next.js, Node.js, and mobile app frameworks like Expo. He is passionate about cloud infrastructure, automation, and open-source advocacy, while continuing to mentor and guide budding developers.

Software Freedom Day 2024
