GitHub Copilot Dev Days

Speaking at GitHub Copilot Dev Days | Guadalajara + event recap

GitHub Copilot Dev Days are a global, community-led event series for developers to explore hands-on, AI-assisted coding with GitHub Copilot.

Partnering with GitHub Campus Experts and my community, Women for the Future, I organized an event series in Guadalajara, Mexico.

For this event, we decided to bring together two student communities at my university to have a greater impact on the student body.

I was in charge of introducing the fundamentals of GitHub Copilot, and Cristobal Medina, president of TeCoding, led the workshop on GitHub Copilot CLI.

Having led the event, I walked away learning just as much as the attendees did.

Final thoughts

As a CS student, learning as much as possible about AI, coding agents, and new technologies is crucial to keeping up with today’s landscape. This series of events was a great opportunity to take action and give something back to the community, and I am glad I took part in it.
