Event highlights + outcome

This is the main end-of-school-year event organized by my community: Women for the Future. The main objective is to inspire and empower women in STEM through community building and mentoring. We tailored the event focusing on networking, discussions on local community impact, and skill-building workshops.

This year’s bootcamp took place on July 2nd and 3rd, 2026, at the Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Guadalajara 🇲🇽.

Activities

Activities included a job-readiness conference, a 3D design workshop, a cybersecurity masterclass, a business rally where attendees split into teams to solve different problems, a networking space, socializing, a purple carpet and more!

Final thoughts

This was the last event I organized as a member of the Women for the Future leadership team. I gave a speech at the closing ceremony, and I would like to share my closing:

“I want to say to all the women here: the path in STEM is not always easy, but you never have to walk it alone. Surround yourself with women who push you, be curious, and brave, and never hesitate to take up the space you deserve.”

Belonging to this community was, without a doubt, the best thing that happened to me during my entire university career. Here I made friends, found a purpose, and was able to be part of a mission that means so much to me: to support and empower women in STEM. I leave feeling calm and confident, because I know the new generation taking the leadership of this community is in the right hands. I know they will continue building, continue dreaming big, and continue opening doors for those who come after us.
