About Junaid

Muhammad Junaid Khalid is a Senior year bachelor’s student of Software Engineering at School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS), NUST, Islamabad, Pakistan. He has worked as a Machine Learning Engineer and consultant for multiple international companies via Upwork where he is a Top-rated Rated seller with 100% success rate and also ranks in the Top 10 ML Developers in Pakistan. Besides that, he has also worked as an R&D Intern at TUKL, NUST Research & Development Center in 2018.

Junaid’s other interests include promoting technology, innovation and inclusion in his community. He is currently serving as the Technical Lead at Google Developers Group Cloud Islamabad, President at NUST Entrepreneurs Club and ACM NUST Student Chapter.

MLH Local Hack Day Learn

Local Hack Day: Learn is a global day-long conference that you can share with your community. You can pick up the new skills you need by participating in workshops and talks with a community around the world. We will be organizing 5 workshops as well as calling speakers and mentors from the community to guide the participants about how to shape their ideas into products that can benefit the community.

Technical Community Meet-up

An event spanning roughly four hours, where the new recruits/volunteers of our technical community will be introduced to the community’s goals and agenda items for the year. There would also be speaker sessions from a few industry people who had been a part of our technical community in the past to explain the benefits of volunteering for community building activities by sharing their own personal experiences.

C/Python Workshop

A two day hands on workshop on C & Python language from 5PM to 8PM, in parallel labs. For both languages, the first day would teach the attendees the basics of Python and C language, and on the second day an introductory session would be given on applications of both language in industry; like Machine Learning and Django (web development) for Python.
