Event recap: Celebrating Community in Peru!

What an absolutely incredible experience! Bringing the GitHub Community Day to Peru was a massive milestone, and the energy from our local tech community was completely off the charts.

From the moment we set everything up and put on our official lanyards, we knew we were in for a memorable day. Seeing all the planning, logistics, and late-night organizing finally come to life is one of the most rewarding feelings you can get as a community leader.

Throughout the day, the atmosphere was buzzing with curiosity and collaboration. One of my favorite parts was the networking that happened organically between and after the sessions. Getting to chat with attendees after the workshops, hearing about their projects, and seeing their passion for technology and open source is exactly why we do this.

A massive thank you to everyone who showed up, engaged with the speakers, and brought such great vibes to the event. Building a stronger, more connected tech ecosystem in Peru is a team effort, and this event proved that our community is readier than ever to build the future.

If you are thinking about starting a community initiative or hosting an event in your city: do it! The late nights and logistical challenges are 100% worth it when you see a room full of people learning and growing together.
