Hacktoberfest is a month-long celebration of Open Source. In the Hacktoberfest meetup, students get to know how GitHub is a necessity for the developers and a hands-on session was given on the same. A total of 3 Hacktoberfest meetups were held in New Delhi, and one of them was by ACM BVP Chapter.
Various concepts of Git were explained including how multiple developers can work on the same project simultaneously, how to handle conflicts in code and how we can track the changes made to the code and revert at any time. The 3-hour long session turned out to be an interactive one. It was quite amazing watching the students make their first PRs! The repository on which the students contributed can be found here.
