Hacktoberfest 2023 @ Amritapuri

In an effort to introduce newbies to the world of open source, we, amFOSS, with the help of GitHub collaborated to conduct a Hacktoberfest event at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in Amritapuri on October 12, 2023.

The main goal was to welcome and support those who were taking their first steps in open source. Members of amFOSS worked diligently to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, focusing on collaboration and knowledge sharing rather than competition. 💻

Participants had the chance to engage in activities with a possibility of winning exciting prizes. Interactive mentoring sessions allowed beginners to seek guidance and build their confidence and interest.

Hacktoberfest 2023 at Amrita was a celebration of community, learning, and the spirit of helping newcomers embark on a new journey - everything what we stand for - sharing knowldege and learning how to learn.💪 It was an opportunity for everyone to embrace open source and personal growth.
